Can you make a difference?

South Lincolnshire Blind Society provides support and advice to help Visually Impaired people, improving their independence and increasing their quality of life.
We help Blind and Partially Sighted people across the South Lincolnshire area by providing advice, specialist equipment demonstrations, information on different eye conditions and eye care, home visiting by trained volunteers and telephone befriending. We also provide a wide variety of social activities and clubs from coffee and social mornings, craft, book and lunch clubs, an allotment and a swimming club. Social group activities are a great way to learn from each other meet new friends and give you a reason to get out and feel connected to your local community. We are able to help you to access benefits and concessions you may be entitled to and support if you have a caring role. Do you or someone you know need our help?
We are very reliant on our wonderful volunteers who help us to provide our services. Can you help? Do you have a few hours to spare and would like to make a difference to someone? We can arrange your volunteering around the time you have available, we pay out of pocket expenses and provide you with any training and support you need. Some of our volunteering roles are: Home visiting – call on someone local for a cuppa and a chat, Telephone Befriending – sometimes just a phone call makes a difference, Store collections and Fundraising, Social clubs helpers. Come and join our fabulous team of volunteers and know that you will be making a real difference to someone’s life in your local community.
